The Client: Kiahna Kuykendall
Kiahna created a mystery thriller story, Trademark, using the Twine (platform in making interactive fiction). Kiahna had already written the manuscript which eased the process of transferring the narrative into the Twine platform. She used “back” and “forward” arrows to assist in the navigation of the story. Editing Provided: Line Editing I contributed to Kiahna's piece by offering suggestions which included a patterned background (such as a faded photo) rather than a solid black, adding/removing photos for variety which would assist the audience in the navigation of the story. Even though Kiahna was still in the developmental stage of the project, the manuscript was completed and will entice any reader to engage in this interactive fiction. |
The Client: Tiffany Davis Tiffany completed an electronic literature project, Frostfall, which is an interactive story inspired by a Dungeon and Dragons’ campaign. She used a web site platform with embedded links to move from one chapter to the next. The user had the ability to make several choices which would change the outcome of the campaign. Editing Provided: Copyediting My editing included noting similar sections that have photos and those that do not. I suggested adding photos to similar sections for consistency as well as having the dialogue portions of the sections single spaced to shorten the length on the page. Tiffany did an awesome job with the headings and paragraphs. |
